ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT COMING TO LISBON FOR YOUR ERASMUS?

Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in Europe and apart from all the culture you can learn about Portugal, Lisbon also has lots of beaches, great food and amazing shopping! Besides that, Lisbon is one of the cheapest cities in Europe, so you don’t need to worry about wasting too much money because you can do everything you would do on other cities but on a cheapest way! In addition, Lisbon is Europe’s Sunniest Capital so if you’re worried about getting a very cold winter or a very hot summer, Lisbon is the perfect place for you.

The University of Lisbon is made up of several colleges and practically all of them are in the Cidade Universitária (University City). The Pharmacy college is one of them, and is right in front of the metro exit.

As there is only one course in our faculty, everyone is acquainted and help their colleagues  out with any problems they have, and some students even take notes about the subjects taught by the teachers to share them with everyone. At the beginning of each school year, the older students organize some activities with the new students so that all of them get to know each other.

OUR TEAM

The student’s association is formed by 12 departments, one of which is the Department of International Relationships (DRI), which alongside the Mobility Group helps incoming students.

Here are some of the things we have prepared for you...

AEFFUL’s Mobility Group will be waiting for you at the airport when you arrive if you wish so, and they will give you all the information you need during your first few days in Lisbon and FFUL. They will also prepare a series of activities for all Erasmus students to meet each other and some other people at our faculty:

  • Welcome Day: In the beginning of each semester the Erasmus students get together in this activity to meet each other and be introduced to the city and the Faculty.
  • Erasmus Dinner + Karaoke Night: In this activity you are all invited to dinner with some of the local students to try some traditional Portuguese food and drinks and to participate in the Karaoke night that follows.
  • Erasmus Day: During this day, the Mobility Group will take you on a tour around Lisbon and show you a piece of its culture.
  • Erasmus Volunteering Day: You will have the opportunity to bond with other Erasmus students while doing volunteering work.

Besides these activities that the Mobility Group will bring to you, AEFFUL organizes social and educational events for all students, and we would love to have you there! Each semester the students go on a 4 day weekend to Algarve to party on an event called Farmo, for example. We also have several other parties, symposiums, our congress and other activities happening throughout the year so make sure to stay tuned through our social media, and ask to receive our newsletter.
